Puppy & Beginner classes are one of our most popular courses, suitable for dogs of all ages. Whether you have just welcomed a new bundle of fluff into your family or given a rescue dog a second chance, there will be something for them to learn on the course.

Within the 4 weeks we will give you the skills to teach your dog things such as:
๐พ Getting your dog's attention - even when there are other dogs around
๐พ Focus exercises
๐พ Confidence building over different surfaces and new objects
๐พ Walking on a loose lead (heel work)
๐พ Recall - coming back when called
๐พ The difference between stay and wait
๐พPlaying with your dog and creating toy drive
๐พLeave/Drop
๐พSocial interactions with other dogs - understanding signs of play, how to greet another dog
-
The course covers general obedience as well as life skills, run by qualified trainers or behaviourists.
All sessions are fun and engaging, using reward based and force free training techniques.
We limited the number of dogs per group to ensure everyone is getting the most of the classes
Each week there will summaries of the class available to you, extra information and videos to help you practice between classes

Follow On Course - on hold
This course has been designed to continue development of skills introduced during the Puppy & Beginner course, as well as giving you and your dog opportunities to learn new skills in a more challenging environment.
-
The course is designed to progress your dogs obedience so they must be able to focus around a small group of dogs.
As we are working towards exercises at a distance your dog should be able to be off lead or on a long line.
-
Each course will be tailored to the ability of the dogs on the course so flexibility is key, however within the 5 weeks we will aim to cover skills such as:
๐พ Focus on handler around moving dogs and people
๐พ Beginner scent work to help with calmness and 'find it' activities
๐พ Settle - remaining calm on a mat whilst you have a conversation or sit at a table
๐พ Recall with temptation - leaving items on the floor and still come back to you
๐พ Emergency stops - whilst your dog is running get them to stop
๐พ Send your dog to their bed or mat
๐พ Working towards having your dog off lead during exercises
๐พ Door manners - sit and wait whilst you go through a door or gate
๐พ Confidence building & paw targets - helping your dog's positioning and balance whilst walking on unusual surfaces.
